Monk Fruit Extract
Monkfuit-a round fruit grown in South China.It is has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for years.The sweetener is made by getting off seeds,skin and crushing into juice, then to be dried into concentrated powder and extracted.The fruit contains natural sugars,mostly fructose and glucose.
But these natural sugars in monk fruit is not its sweetness.Instead,the mogrosides with intense sweetness,zero carbohydrates,zero sodium,zero fat,good solubility in water and ethanol.
